Welcome to Tom's Turtle Swim School!

Hello

My name is Tom Ephgrave and I am the director of Tom's Turtle Swim School. We are based at Etwall Primary School Swimming Pool. Our aim is to deliver fun, and engaging swimming lessons as I believe this is the best method for children to have a positive swimming experience and make progress.

Group Swimming Lessons

Our swimming lessons take a personal, child centred approach to create an environment in which children feel comfortable and can develop at their own speed. This is what sets Tom's Turtles apart from most swimming lesson providers. We are able to offer this excellent service by keeping our class sizes small and having a small team of core staff who deliver our swimming lessons.

We currently operate on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening during term time whilst also delivering swimming lessons through the half term and summer holidays. Our lessons are designed for 3-9 year old children of varying ability. Whether you are a complete beginner or need to work on your water confidence and technique we can cater for you!

121 Lessons

Another part of the swim school is our 121 programme. This gives children the opportunity to develop their water confidence and swimming ability away from a group lesson environment. This can be a 1 off lesson to support your child's group lessons or it can be a series of lessons. 121 lessons are also great for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our teaching team have combined experience working with SEND children and adults so we are able to adapt our teaching to help your child develop.
